AI Engineer Intern

Yellow Tech is a strategy consulting firm specialised in AI transformation: we help companies understand and adopt artificial intelligence. We are an AI-first company, made of humans and AI agents working together, born with the arrival of LLMs and fully bootstrapped: we sustain ourselves and we decide what to build.

The Business Development team finds companies and qualifies them; the Strategist understands the need, closes the project and coordinates it; the Trainers train the people (AI Academy), the Engineers build agents (AI Factory).

You are the one who turns real client problems into prototypes, agents and AI workflows that work: you work alongside the Engineers and the Strategists and learn to take a solution from idea to deployment.

• Understand the problem before building: You take part in discovery, analyse the client’s processes, data and systems and help turn business requests into clear technical requirements.
• Build AI agents and automations: You develop agents, workflows and integrations working with LLMs, tool use, APIs, RAG and automations on real use cases.
• Take code all the way to deployment: You write, test, debug and improve what you build, learning to work with evals, logging, monitoring and production-grade quality standards.
• Work AI-first: You use coding agents and LLMs every day to develop faster, document, test and iterate, and you help improve the tools and patterns the team shares.

• In the first month: you work alongside the AI Engineers on real projects and take your first component or workflow all the way to deployment.
• During the internship: you progressively take ownership of larger parts of the project, from the technical definition through to development and release.
• After 4-6 months: you can move to a full-time role as an AI Engineer.

We work mainly in person, from our office in Corvetto, Milan. That said, we operate with flexibility and common sense: remote work is possible when it is needed.

LLMs arrived three years ago and created a new market. The window is wide and it is open now; to stay ahead of it you have to work better and harder than the others. Anyone looking for a predictable pace will not be happy here.

Native Italian is required. We write requirements as a direction, not as a barrier: if the role appeals to you and you think you can grow fast, apply even with a profile that is not a perfect match. It has happened before, and it worked out.
